If Your Result is Positive for Detection of Blood in Stool

If the test is positive during a test, it is likely that you have blood in the stool above the level for a normal healthy individual. Even though there occasionally can be false positives with the test, do not dismiss the findings. Immediately contact your physician for follow-up and further screening. Facts About Colon Cancer

Annual Testing Is Recommended

The American Cancer Society and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control recommend annual testing for colorectal disease for all persons over age 50.
