Are you feeling bad and don't know why? An imbalance of essential minerals or heavy metal toxins can affect your overall well being. Minerals and toxins can affect many areas of your body including brain function and activity, high blood pressure, immune system, digestive disorders and sexual dysfunction. A simple hair test can determine if such imbalances may be contributing to unexplained symptoms.

Having proper levels of minerals is vital for your overall well-being. With one small self-collected hair sample, MineralCheck assesses your body's levels of the following 11 minerals and 9 toxic elements.

    Minerals

    • Calcium
    • Chromium
    • Cobalt
    • Copper
    • Magnesium
    • Manganese
    • Molybdenum
    • Strontium
    • Sulfur
    • Vanadium
    • Zinc

    Heavy Metal Toxins

    • Aluminum
    • Antimony
    • Arsenic
    • Bismuth
    • Cadmium
    • Lead
    • Mercury
    • Nickel
    • Tin

WHY SCREEN HAIR FOR TOXIC HEAVY METALS?

Heavy metal accumulation is likely in an environment plagued by pollutants. Toxins, many of which are metals, normally present in the body in small amounts. However, they accumulate with excessive or continual environmental exposure or if your body's detoxifying defenses are not funtioning properly. As toxicity increases so does the severity of signs and symptoms.

Over a lifetime, these toxic elements may accumulate inside the human body in tissue such as fat and bone, being broken down and eliminated very slowly. Eventually, this increasing toxic burden can trigger a variety of physical and cognitive disorders.

HEAVY METAL TOXICITY MAY ATTRIBUTE TO THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS:

    • Fatigue
    • Constipation
    • Emotional disturbances
    • Hyperactivity
    • Learning disabilities in children
    • Hypertension
    • Decrease in bone health
    • Skin problems
    • Tingling in extremities
    • Tissue aging
    • Musculoskelatal pain
    • Anemia

MineralCheck is a safe, easy-to-use, and reliable screen that uses a small self-collected hair sample (requires a snip of hair) to measure your mineral and toxin levels. This non-invasive and inexpensive screen provides you with the accuracy of a laboratory analysis without leaving the comfort of your own home. The test speciman is mailed to a laboratory and within 7-10 working days of recieving your sample, a lab analysis with your results is sent directly to you. There is no extra charge or fee for the lab report.

A substantial body of scientific literature supports hair analysis as an accurate, reliable gauge of long-term toxic exposure. Because hair follicles are exposed to the blood supply during growth, element concentrations in hair reflect concentration in other body tissues. Should levels be elevated, a variety of clinical and lifestyle interventions can be implemented to reduce toxic burden; follow-up hair testing provides a good indication of long-term treatment effectiveness (after 3-4 months).

    Background on Minerals and Toxins

Minerals and toxins are found everywhere. From the food you eat to the air you breathe to the water you drink, these elements play a major role in nearly every facet of your life. And because we're all different from one another, each of us has our own individual responses to different toxins. Having proper levels of minerals is vital for your overall well-being. MineralCheck assesses your body's levels of the following 11 minerals and 9 toxic elements:

MINERALS: Calcium, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Strontium, Sulfur, Vanadium, Zinc

TOXIC ELEMENTS: Aluminum, Antimony, Arsenic, Bismuth, Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Nickel, Tin

    • Calcium, besides being an important factor in bone development and maintenance, is also vital to heart and muscle function, and nerve conductivity. Calcium can be found in dark green leafy vegetables, dairy products, and canned salmon and sardines.
    • Zinc is influential in sexual function, immune system, hair growth, tissue aging and digestive function. Dietary sources of zinc include: meats, nuts, seeds, leafy and root vegetables, and crustaceans.
    • Magnesium can affect cardiovascular function, blood pressure, and areas of mental health, and poor memory. Magnesium is found in oatmeal, buckwheat, chocolate, whole grains, and dark green leafy vegetables.
    • Lead attaches to blood and is often deposited in bones, the brain, adrenal and thyroid glands, and the liver. One of the most common toxics, lead can be found in water, paint, cigarettes, cosmetics, some pesticides, and foods such as meats, garden fruits, and grains.
    • Nickel is contained in car exhaust, cigarette smoke, and industrial waste.
    • Mercury can be found in dental fillings, shellfish, large fish, paints, tattoo dyes, ceramics, and electrical relays.

Making sure your body has the proper levels of minerals and low, levels of toxins can really make a difference in your well-being. MineralCheck can help you make that difference.

The Mineral/Toxin Test uses a hair sample for analysis. The kit includes all components. Below is how the hair sample is obtained:

Bend tabs down on the hair scale.

Bend the tabs down on the hair scale. Place the card tab side down on a flat surface to create a scale.

Hair samples must be dry. Take samples from the area highlighted in the illustration.

With clean stainless steel scissors, but off hair sample very close to the scalp.

Using clean stainless steel scissors, cut off hair samples very close to the scalp. Trim the sample so it includes only about one-inch of the newest hair growth (the hair that was closest to your scalp.) Discard remaining hair

    Place sample on scale.

Place the one-inch sample of new hair growth on the elevated side of the hair scale.

Collect enough hair sample to tip scale.

Repeat steps 3 and 4, collecting samples from at least seven places within the back portion of the neck until the scale tips. Insufficient hair samples cannot be processed.

Place hair inside of plastic bag and seal.

Make sure you have filled out and signed the Health Screen Request Form. Your sample will not be be processed without this signed form. Also, be sure to fill out the label on the plastic hair collection bag. Place the hair sample inside and seal.
